Year 5 Blog

Chiltern Open Air Museum

What an amazing experience – to be outside in the beautiful spring sunshine, learning about life in Victorian times by making bricks and rag-rugs and playing with toys and games from the Victorian era.

Pupil-led Science

Children have designed their own science experiments on the theme of growth and created posters to demonstrate their learning.  All sorts of seed have been sprouting under different conditions to help us understand how we can grow food efficiently.

Music Recital

We were nervous as we had not performed for so long but we have been practicing and all enjoyed hearing each other’s performances.

Cake Sale for Ukraine

We baked up a storm to support families affected by the war in Ukraine.  Our compassion and cakes helped to raise over £160.  Thank you!

Chicks and Dogs

Last but not least, we have loved spending time with the baby chicks and the therapy dogs when they visited school.  Just look at our faces!
