In our topic on America, we have listened to the Native American lullaby ‘Ho Ho Watanay’ and have then bathed, dressed and rocked our toys while singing them a lullaby. We made dream catchers from paper plates, wool and needles (using our fine motor skills).

We noticed some very special buildings and statues in photos and books and we had a go at making our own Statue of Liberty by drawing and modelling in playdough.

We have loved exploring instruments and listening to music from Native America and from New Orleans. We used oils to draw portraits in the style of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and we looked at and talked about the artist Diego Rivera.
