We were delighted to host ‘Prayer Spaces in Schools’ during the week beginning Monday 8th February. The community room was transformed into an oasis of calm with four distinctive interactive prayer zones:
- Prayers to say “Sorry”
- Prayers to say “Thank you”
- Prayers to say “Please”
- Prayers for our world
Small groups of children across the school visited the ‘Prayer Space’ during the week and had the opportunity to talk about their responses to the zones with their class teachers and volunteers from the church. We are very grateful to Catherine Clayton who led the week and to Rector Maggie who has brought the idea to St. Andrew’s along with the clergy team.
Thirty minutes of reflection was time well spent – a truly spiritual and cathartic experience.
