Volunteering at St Andrew’s CE Primary School

Volunteering in school is a hugely valuable and rewarding experience for both the children and the volunteer. We provide many opportunities for volunteering here at St Andrew’s CE Primary School, from hearing children read to supporting them with their learning in all aspects of their curriculum.

If you are interested in a career in education, gaining experience working with children can help you decide if teaching is right for you and can even help to support your application to courses and jobs.

All staff members and anyone who volunteers with us undertakes training in child protection and this training is refreshed every three years in line with Oxfordshire County Council’s safeguarding policy. We also undertake comprehensive background checks on all staff and any volunteers for whom this is required (in accordance with OCC policy).
