Anti-Bullying Week 2023

On 13th -17th November 2023 it was Anti-Bullying Week. We worked on a range of activities throughout the week.

On Monday it was Odd Socks Day where we wore odd socks to celebrate how we are all unique. We raised money for the Anti-Bullying Alliance. We introduced the week in our Monday assembly and enjoyed watching Andy and the Odd Socks performing ‘Make a Noise’. Each year they bring out a song which helps bring the anti-bullying week theme to life.

During the week we set up some activities in the garden room at lunch times which included drawing, colouring, reading and games.

On Friday we delivered assemblies to both KS1 and KS2 about what bullying means and what we should do if we are worried about a friend. We discussed the difference between ‘banter’ and bullying. We agreed that we should not use banter if we would not want someone to say those words to us and it is only banter if the person you are joking with finds it funny.

The week has helped us all to think about the effects of bullying behaviours and to remember to be kind.
