Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was born into slavery in the United States, a life where she had no freedom and faced great danger every day. But Harriet was determined to change her life. In 1849, she escaped to freedom — and she didn’t stop there.

Harriet risked her life time and time again by returning to the South to lead other enslaved people to safety through a secret network called the Underground Railroad. She became known as “Moses” for guiding so many to freedom.

Harriet Tubman’s courage reminds us that bravery isn’t just about fighting battles — it’s about helping others, even when it’s hard or dangerous. Her story continues to inspire people all over the world to stand up for what is right.
