Budding Gardeners Competition 2018 - A Wildlife Garden : Show Garden

The Budding Gardeners Competition is an opportunity for school pupils to showcase their love of gardening and imaginative ideas to RHS members and 20,000 visitors to RHS Garden Wisley during the summer half term.  To coincide with RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018, some of our Year 5 pupils came to RHS Garden Wisley to plant up their own mini show gardens. It was a very successful day with all the children working really hard to finish the garden before they were able to run off some energy before their drive back to school. Thankfully the weather cleared and it was not too wet.

We received a gold award for our Wildlife Garden: Show Garden featuring bugs!

RHS Budding Gardeners 2015

To coincide with RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014, 56 schools in the South East and London came to RHS Garden Wisley to plant up their own mini show gardens, which were on display throughout the spring half term.

This year’s theme was recycling and each school put its own personal and innovative twist on their garden with unusual items including a kitchen hob, bicycles, wellies, windmills, Wombles, a ship’s anchor, a chest of drawers and a solar powered fish tank complete with goldfish!
